Funnel Hacks

When you don't have one, care to buy one, or just want to create one!

Filling Snake Sandbags® can be tough to fill without a funnel. Here are some alternatives:

The Paper Towel Roll

Using an empty paper towel roll or any cardboard tube that is less than 2'5" in diameter, with a pen draw an arrow starting from either opening to the middle of the roll. Cut along the drawn lines. Voilà! You have a funnel/scoop!

The 16 - 20 ounce Paper Cup.

To determine whether a particular size cup will work, take the bottom of the cup and insert into opening of Inner Liner (do not force). If it fits, great! If not, find another cup. Cut out the bottom of the cup and insert into opening of Inner Liner. Works well when used in a scoop fashion.

Flat Paper or Cardboard.

Newspapers, magazies, advertising flyers, or cardboard like cereal boxes works well and it's very simple. Roll up the paper/cardboard to create a cone shape. Ensure the small opening fits in the Inner Liner and is wide enough so sand can freely pass through. Tape together.
